Exploring the Unknown:

Exploring means different things to different people. Everyone explores. Depending on where you are in life and what you get out of your exploration. Where are you mentally? Are you spiritually and emotionally mature? Are you seeking growth?

If you are elderly, exploring might mean viewing your world from an RV or if you are young and fit, running and hiking might be your form of exploration. Exploring can be a selfish pursuit purely for recognition, riches and accolades such as some of the early explorers; or it can be the opposite in which the explorer is looking out for the good of man and wants to help society.

Exploring can be to challenge yourself, push the boundaries, and find out more about who you are. Exploration is not science it is about asking the question, “why”, of everything around you. "Why" is the question of exploring and to the ultimate explorer. You can question why cultures are different. Or you can question why you exist and what is your purpose for existence. But all things begin with the question why.

Join Branndon and Greg Bargo on their expedition as they try to discover why people explore. In their film titled “Exploring the Unknown” they take their own journey of self discovery as they climb one of the most extreme mountains in the world, Mt. McKinley, then bike 4,000 miles from Alaska to Mexico and stop off along the way to scuba dive with great white sharks. Before, during and after their journey they try to find out by asking explorers, athletes, scientists and doctors why people do what they do. Some of the many amazing people they interviewed are the first amputee to climb Mt. Everest, the first American to climb the seven summits and ski to the North and South Pole, doctors and scientists who have led their field in research and many others. There have been many books and films that have touched on the subject of exploration, but no film has tried to get to the bottom of “why”, until now.

Filming and editing are nearing completion, as is a deal with a leading cable channel to air this exciting documentary. Please feel free to e-mail us with any questions about our upcoming films.
