Branndon Bargo
Born in Laredo, Texas, and raised in Austin, Branndon has the laid back attitude of an Austinite and the machismo of a Laredoan. He has a broadcast journalism degree from Texas State University with a minor in Anthropology. His thirst for adventure began when he dressed in his camo outfit at the age of 8 and proceeded to get lost in his backyard for 3 hours until he was picked up by police. Since then he has climbed mountains such as Mt. Baker, Mt. Rainier, Mt. Whitney, 15,390 ft. Nevado de Toluca, 17,342 ft. Ixta, and 18, 405 ft. Pico De Orizaba He is a graduate of the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) mountaineering course. He played semi-professional football in Germany. (Semi means he received wiener schnitzel and a moped in exchange for playing). He played rugby at Texas State University where he was the team MVP and later for the Austin Blacks and Park City Muckers. He has sky dived, and bungee jumped in the U.S., Canada, Africa, and Switzerland, ran with the bulls in Spain, dived with reef sharks in the Bahamas, great whites in California, and snuck into Cuba to get cheap pizza. He was a member of the U.S. Skeleton Elite Development team in Park City, Utah. Most recently Branndon climbed 20,320 foot Mt. McKinley in Alaska, then biked 4,000 miles to Mexico. He is the President of Live Adventure LLC which does team building, adventure tours, speaking engagements, and documentary films. He is also the founder of Goat Rocks Inc. a non profit which supports at-risk children in the U.S., orphans in Africa, and educating male collegiate students on the issues of violence.
